One of the older, vibrant communities in Calgary's inner city. Originally incorporated in 1908 and quickly annexed by the city in 1911, it became a neighbourhood in 1914. Crescent Heights is divided by Centre Street, and has beautiful tree lined streets like the one I'm on. Popular due to immediate amenities. It has a walk score of 71 and a high bike score. No shortage of places to get on foot. You can start with McHugh Bluff Fun Fact: named after Felix McHugh, who homesteaded and was an early entrepreneur. Here you can walk along the ridge take in mountain, river valley and downtown views. There are also amazing nighttime shots - a photographer’s paradise from multiple points. Rotary Park is another popular spot in Crescent Heights. It contains a kids spray pool, tennis club, lawn bowling and off-leash park.
